Coundon

The green spaces make Coundon a place to chose to live. Coundon Wedge, Coundon Hall Park, Lake View and Allesley Park. Places to breathe away from the noise and dirt of the ever increasing volume of road traffic. Judging by the high footfall in all of them I'm not alone in appreciating these places. Thanks to the Coventry Park Rangers for taking care of the green spaces of Coventry so we can access and enjoy them.

Positive Neighbouring Support

Here are some neighbours joining together to help at Stoke Heath Community Centre for the Emergency Food Provision, the Stoke Heath Grub Hub have received grants to supply the vulnerable adults and famillies within the area. There are others around Coventry doing similiar good work and all have welcomed the Lord Mayor Cllr Ann Lucas into their venue to reveal to her first hand, what hard work is being accomplished. I love Allesley park because it offers peace and quiet to the local community whilst supporting wildlife.

Allesley park is just 5 minutes walk from my house and it's been a real life saver over the years that I've lived here. The local people are kind, polite and community minded. Before the virus the regular visitors, myself included, picked up litter on a regular basis and reported any vandalism to the council. Things have changed since lockdown and the park is now full all the time with people leaving their litter, including masks and dog mess all over the place.
