The Power of You

The Power Of You was created with the aim of bringing together young black women, ages 18-24, to foster sisterhood, develop confidence in their careers.

We are inviting you to an afternoon of authentic conversations and connections. The "Power of You" event is deeply inspired by the impactful International Women's Day (IWD) campaign from last year, which embraced the empowering theme of "Choose to Challenge." This influential initiative urged individuals to challenge and confront gender bias, inequality, and stereotypes, fostering a more inclusive and equal world.

We specifically noticed the challenges young black women face due to prevalent stereotypes and discrimination in achieving their academic and professional goals.
