Warwick University Volunteers

Student Volunteers: Creating impact beyond campus

At Warwick Volunteers, we co-create impactful projects with local Community Partners, where students learn, lead and grow while supporting real-world needs. Here are just a few examples of how our volunteers are helping the local community.

Digital Café

In partnership with Cheylesmore Good Neighbours, students offer one-to-one digital support to older people, helping them navigate laptops, smartphones and tablets. It’s about more than tech skills; it’s about building confidence and connection across generations.

Nature Conservation Volunteers

For over a decade, Warwick students have worked alongside Friends of Canley Green Spaces to protect and enhance local woodlands. What began with a few volunteers has grown into a thriving initiative, now co-led by Student Leaders who help organise sessions and inspire others to get involved, from brook clean-ups to bulb planting.

Community Crafters

Our volunteers bring creativity and energy to community events across Coventry and Warwickshire. Whether it’s setting up, serving refreshments, or running free craft activities.

Working with Warwick students

Warwick student volunteers are passionate, proactive and ready to make a difference. Most live on campus or nearby areas such as Canley, Cannon Park, Tile Hill, Earlsdon, Cheylesmore, Chapel Fields, and the City Centre. While many are happy to travel, they’re especially motivated by opportunities that create visible impact in their local communities.

If you’d like to advertise any volunteering opportunities with us, you can do so through our newsletter which is emailed to 3000 students fortnightly.
