By delivering this priority we will create a city, that leads the way and invests in the green industrial revolution. Ensuring the future well-being of our residents by embedding environmentally friendly behaviours and exploring opportunities to lessen the pressures caused by climate change.

We have amended the One Coventry Plan following your feedback on this priority by:

  • Including a commitment to encourage green behaviours and work with schools to implement sustainability into the curriculum

  • Stressing the importance of protecting wildlife and engaging with communities and developers on the conservation of natural habitats.

  • Being clearer about the need to address the impacts and consequences of Climate Change by ensuring we have the right infrastructure in place to cope with the effects of extreme weather events such as flooding and extreme heat.

Net Zero presents a different puzzle for everyone - but finding all the pieces relies on the right strategy!

No one knows this better than Bret Willers, Head of Sustainability and Climate Change here at Coventry City Council (CCC), who will be speaking at this year's Big Zero Show. Bret will be explaining how Coventry is plotting its own journey towards sustainability.

At the upcoming conference he'll be sharing his insights and joining forces with other net zero heroes, to demonstrate how you can cut your carbon footprint and make a difference in the fight against climate change.

So, if you're ready to start your green journey, join Bret Willers for free, at the Big Zero Show.
