St Laurence’s Church Hope Hub secures new funding

St Laurence’s Hope Hub has successfully secured another grant, this time receiving £3,000 from the Heart of England Community Foundation. The funding will contribute towards the ongoing delivery of their food bank and wider support network.

Since 2020, the church has played a vital role in supporting the local community, providing not only food parcels but also essential services such as debt advice and emotional support to residents facing challenges related to the cost of living crisis.

Throughout this period, the Community Resilience Team (CRT) has worked closely with the church, offering guidance and support in accessing external funding opportunities. This partnership has helped to sustain and strengthen the valuable work carried out by dedicated volunteers and church staff.

Looking ahead, the CRT has advised the Hope Hub team to consider applying to the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. This would help secure longer-term funding and ensure the continued delivery of their important services to the community.
