Welcome to our Carers Strategy Engagement Site
When we talk about carers within this strategy we're talking about people, anyone, including children and adults who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health difficulty or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care you provide is unpaid. You might be providing emotional support, a listening ear, supervising someone to keep them safe, personal care such as washing or dressing. It does not matter how many hours a week you care or how long you have been caring for, we want to hear from you.
On this site we will share important information, any upcoming engagement sessions and opportunities to be involved. We want the strategy to be co-designed with Coventry carers and reflective of the diverse needs of people with caring responsibilities. As we are all likely to care or be cared for during our lifetime, we're keen to hear from as many voices as possible, whether you have cared in the past or know you will care in the future.
