War Memorial Park: This is the most popular park in Coventry, known for its expansive green spaces and peaceful atmosphere, making it ideal for leisurely strolls and family outings. The park is Green Flag accredited and has a large activity zone with Tennis courts, Padel courts are on the way, there’s a skate park, and play area.
We intend to replace and enhance existing public play infrastructure for the continued free use and benefit of all park visitors. The existing playground, installed many years ago, is approaching the end of its life span and is expected to become beyond reasonable repair within a few years.
The proposed project will replace these outdated facilities with a modern, fully accessible Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and an upgraded children’s play area. This upgrade will ensure continued free access to a vital community space that promotes exercise, supports healthy lifestyles and strengthens social interaction and community ties.
We want to know what you think about the current play area and what is important to you when you visit the play area.
