This short survey is a collaboration between the West Midlands Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) and Coventry City Council. The VRU has a long-term strategy to work with local communities and partners across the West Midlands to reduce levels of vulnerability, exploitation and serious youth violence. Since December 2019, the VRU has been working with local partners in Hillfields to develop projects that will help to prevent violence and keep vulnerable young people safe.
This survey is designed to allow people who live, work, visit or study in Hillfields to give their feedback on the work of the VRU so far, and to express what they think the VRU should prioritise and resource over the coming months and years (subject to continued government funding). The VRU believes that no-one knows Hillfields better than the people who live and work there, and so we warmly welcome your thoughts and suggestions about how we can work together to help make Hillfields an even safer place for young people to live and grow up in.
We want to make sure this consultation is open and transparent, so we will publish a summary of the survey results in January 2021, as well as providing the VRU’s next steps in light of your feedback. We are also considering further community consultation in the first few months of 2021, so keep your eyes open for more opportunities to engage with us! Thanks for your help and participation. #OurHillfields
The survey will close at 10am on the 14th December 2020
