Free Energy Awareness Training Available for Frontline Workers in the West Midlands

Act on Energy is offering a series of free online Energy Awareness Training sessions designed for anyone working with people across the West Midlands who may be struggling to stay warm and manage rising energy costs this winter.
These sessions are ideal for frontline professionals, carers, and volunteers who regularly support individuals or families facing financial pressures or fuel poverty. Whether you work in healthcare, emergency services, community organisations, housing, or any other frontline role, this training will help you feel more confident in recognising and responding to energy‑related challenges.
Participants will gain practical skills and knowledge on topics including:
  • Recognising signs of fuel poverty
  • Understanding energy bills and ways to save energy at home
  • Improving energy efficiency in the home
  • Supporting households dealing with damp and mould
  • How Act on Energy can provide further advice and support
Act on Energy is an established energy advice charity with 27 years of experience working directly with people affected by fuel poverty. Their aim is to share expertise so frontline workers can offer timely, informed support to residents across Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, and Wolverhampton.
These sessions are free to attend, but places are limited — book early to avoid disappointment.
