June Newsletter 2025
Join us for a celebration of growing and giving!
Some of our school children have been growing fresh fruit and vegetables in the school garden, as part of a food education programme called Young Marketeers(External link) (run by School Food Matters).
Now they’re ready to share the fruits of their labour! We’d love to invite you to come and support these enterprising children as they sell their harvested produce on Friday 4 July from 12-2pm outside Coventry Cathedral.
This will be a day of celebration for the children after six months of hard work - growing and learning about food systems and food waste. All the money raised will go towards supporting the great work of Coventry Food Network in tackling food poverty. We hope to see you

Young People & Smoking and Vaping: Surveys Now Live – Please help us spread the word!
Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council are working together to support a Smoke-Free Generation. To do this, they’ve partnered with independent researchers at Social Engine to better understand what children and young people think about smoking and vaping.
We need your help to spread the word and encourage participation in three short, confidential surveys:
- 🧒 Young People (ages 11–18, or up to 24 with SEND) www.tinyurl.com/smokefreecyp(External link)
- 👨👩👧 Parents and Carers www.tinyurl.com/smokefreepar(External link) (Chance for participating parents and carers to be entered into a prize draw to win £250 shopping vouchers)
- 👩🏫 Professionals working with children and young people www.tinyurl.com/smokefreepro(External link)
Your support will help shape effective strategies to prevent young people from starting to smoke and vape and help us to improve services for those already using nicotine products.
👉 All survey links and promotional posters are available here: Stop smoking – Coventry City Council(External link)
Please take a moment to share this with your networks, colleagues, and communities. Surveys close 9 July 2025.
