December's Get Involved Updates
Clothing Coventry
Clothing Coventry is a new charity aiming to support those in need of good quality second hand clothes. They continue to get busier every month. In November they had requests for clothes parcels for 311 people. 71 of those are currently outstanding as we do not have the clothes to help people.
Every item of wearable, season appropriate clothes gets passed onto someone who needs it, they particularly need winter coats for all, men's clothes and older children's clothes.

Public Health Partnership Event
Why not get your 2023 off to a great start by meeting our public health services?
We are hosting an in-person event to help local partners and the local voluntary and community sector engage with key public health-commissioned services on Thursday 19 January. Attendees will be welcome to drop in at any time between 9.30 and and 12noon and meet services delivering:
- Drug and alcohol treatment
- Sexual health services (incl testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections and contraceptive services)
- Lifestyles behaviour change support like stop smoking and weight management
- Support for victims of domestic abuse
- Public health services for young people and families
You will be able to drop into a series of short presentations introducing each of these services or just have an informal 1-2-1 chat with local staff. We hope this will give partners an opportunity to better understand local provision and make useful connections.
If you are interested in this event, please bookmark the date and let us know if you intend to attend by emailing adam.langham-dobson@coventry.gov.uk and we will confirm further information, including the venue, nearer the date.
Thank you for your contribution!
