Tile Hill Community Partnership


Community Resilience Team have Successfully supported the Tile Hill Community Partnership (THCP) to get £2050 from Digbeth Dining to put towards their ‘Party on The Green’ Community Event. This funding is to run some young people activities on the day.


This event is due to take place on Saturday 24th September 11am-4pm in Jardine Crescent, Tile Hill.


THCP are looking for other organisations to have stalls and run activities at the event so local people can get information on services and activities they can access locally.

FREE Suicide Prevention training for frontline workers

In support of World Suicide Prevention Day, Coventry and Warwickshire are offering FREE Suicide Prevention training for frontline workers.

The session will be held on 8th September, 10.30-11.30am via Microsoft Teams.


The training covers:

  • Self harm
  • Risk factors
  • Spotting the signs
  • Information on accessing resources
  • Dear life website

The session will be presented by Anne Prendergast who is the Lead For Clinical Risk and Suicide Prevention at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT). All questions during the session will be managed within the chat area, with any unanswered questions being collated and sent to all as part of a ‘Question and Answer Sheet’ alongside any slides used.

Unsung heroes from across the West Midlands are being given their moment in the spotlight.


West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner has launched his Outstanding Citizens Awards 2022, celebrating those who make our communities safer and happier places to live and work. We want to show appreciation to people who have made an outstanding contribution to their community, and recognise outstanding acts of good citizenship across the whole of the West Midlands.


The deadlines for nominations is 12th September 2022 and the ceremony will take place on Saturday 8th October 2022 where winners can collect their awards


There are four awards categories up for grabs including:

  • Outstanding Citizen
  • Outstanding Young Citizen (under 18s)
  • Outstanding Community Project
  • Outstanding Young Community Project

So if you know a tireless community campaigner or a member of the public who went above and beyond, nominate them now.

Nominations for the Queens Awards for Voluntary Services are now open!

Nominations for the 2023 Queens awards for Voluntary service are now open. They will be accepting nominations for the 2023 awards until the 15 September 2022.

This year’s awardees from Coventry were The Friends of Longford Park, and Earlsdon Carnegie Community Library.

If you know of a volunteer group that are making a difference, then take a look to see how to nominate them!
