Comic Relief Community Fund

£10,000

Deadline: 30/11/2022


Up to £10,000 is on offer for community-led organisations delivering change by drawing on the lived experiences of those who have been affected by the issues being tackled. Comic Relief has four strategy themes:


  • A Safe Place to Be: Supporting people to rebuild their lives because of homelessness or forced migration.

  • Children Survive and Thrive: Supporting children up to the age of 11 to grow, play and learn.

  • Gender Justice: Championing those who identify as women and girls, including initiatives tackling domestic violence, abuse or exploitation.

  • Mental Health Matters: Supporting good mental health in communities and tackling stigma and discrimination.


£9,000 can be spent on delivering projects that fit in one of the above themes. For example:

  • Hiring venure

  • Employing support workers

  • Improving facilities

  • Volunteer expenses


£1,000 can be spent on building the organisation’s capacity by strengthening their operations and governence. (all applications must include this) For example:

  • Support to develop policies and procedures

  • Gain a better understanding of measuring impact

  • Improve marketing of the service

Henry Smith Charity – Holidays for Children

£2,500

Deadline: 31/12/2022



This grant is to provide children under 13 who are disadvantaged, disabled or from areas of high deprivation with a recreational holiday or outing. This opportunity is available to schools, youth groups, not-for-profits and charities.

Preference will be given to groups or schools supporting those children in the most deprived areas of the UK, this means the bottom 20% according to National Indices of Deprivation.

The grant will go towards a single trip, from a day trip up to a seven day residential. The grant cannot be used for:

  • Trips outside of the UK.

  • Trips to theme parks or similar high cost attractions.

  • Trips for children over the age of 13 years.

  • Trips with a focus on education rather than fun.

  • Museum, cultural or theatre trips to meet curriculum requirements.

  • Trips for families.

  • Trips for individual children.

  • Organisations that provide children's holidays.

  • The running costs of play or holiday schemes - this includes funding towards a range of non-specific trips or activities.

  • Trips that have already taken place.

  • Organisations with an income of expenditure of over £2 million (unless a school).

  • Trips to pantomimes.

  • Trips to sports events.

Ocado Foundation for Good

The aim of this fund is to fund projects that support skills and education development or promote sustainability in communities across the UK. Funding is for projects that align with the Foundation’s core pillars of corporate responsibility with the aim of supporting 'the many not the few'.


Proposals should involve activities that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals adopted by this programme. These are:

  • Good health and wellbeing.

  • Quality education.

  • Decent work and economic growth.

  • Reduced inequalities.

  • Responsible consumption and production.

  • Climate action.


The applicant may also ask for volunteer support or in-kind goods requests.
