Would you like a new community growing space in Coventry?
The Council is proposing to create three new community growing spaces in Coventry. Coventry Grows is an exciting new initiative where your community will be supported to develop a community garden and grow food that you can eat with your family and friends.
Working with our partners E.ON, Grapevine, and Garden Organic, we will provide you with training, equipment and seeds so that you can create your community garden.
The three proposed sites are within Hillfields, Upper Stoke and Willenhall and we are interested to hear the local community’s views and ideas on the prospective sites.
Residents that get involved will be supported by a Community Organiser from the local social action organisation Grapevine to develop their team, structures and collective power. They will also be supported with the initial needs of the space, such as clearing sites, and can attend training sessions delivered by the national organic growing charity Garden Organic.
