Willenhall Community Growing Space
Welcome to the survey. Please let us know what you think of the growing space proposal in Willenhall. Your views influence decisions about your local area and how green space is used.
The Council is proposing to create a site in Willenhall where your community will be supported to develop a community garden and grow food that you can eat with your family and friends.
The proposed sites are on Yarningale Road, adjacent to Willenhall Wood, and the green space at the end of Pleydell Close and Colina Close. Please share your feedback and ideas below, we are keen to hear from you if you know of any other sites that might work well for a community growing space.
Working with our partners E.ON, Grapevine and Garden organic, we will provide you with training, equipment and seeds so that you can create your own community garden.
Residents that get involved will be supported by a Community Organiser from local social action organisation Grapevine to develop their team, structures and collective power. They will also be supported with the initial needs of the space, such as clearing sites, and can attend training sessions delivered by national organic growing charity Garden Organic.
