Running services in Coventry that matter most to you

We all have concerns that affect our everyday life whether it’s our health or the health of someone close to us or housing security or paying bills. That’s why it’s important that, as your local Council, we are aware of all of these issues because it informs the way we work for you and deliver hundreds of services in the city.

Councils across the country are battling rising prices and increasing demands on their services, too. At the same time, we spend around 83 per cent of our funds on social care and homelessness and this proportion is getting larger each year. This means we have to plan, more efficiently, the way we provide other services like park improvements or road repairs or bin collections.

We also know that people feel strongly about their local services, and we want to make sure that we give everyone living in the city the opportunity to have a say in how we run your Council services.

That’s why we want to get your views.

In the next few months, we will be planning our budget for 2026 to 2027, and we want to make sure that this is based on informed decisions, including feedback from you, about where to focus our spending.

To do this we want to hear from local people about their views and values. We would like to hear your views about:

• the things that concern you and your family; and

• where we should focus resources as we work to improve quality of life across the city.

The survey below does not replace our formal Budget consultation, this will still take place when we have more information about the funding we are awarded.

We will be using the information you provide to help us understand from Coventry residents and businesses, their views and ensure they are embedded into our future financial plans.

So, please take a few minutes to respond to us, we would love to hear from you.
