War Memorial Park: This is the most popular park in Coventry, known for its expansive green spaces and peaceful atmosphere, making it ideal for leisurely strolls and family outings. The park is Green Flag accredited and has a large activity zone with Tennis courts, Padel courts are on the way, there’s a skate park, and play area.
We intend to replace the War Memorial Park water play park with a new open plan Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) which, will provide more outdoor activity and play, for a greater age range of children than the water play area. The existing playground, installed many years ago, is approaching the end of its life span and is expected to become beyond reasonable repair within a few years.
This upgrade will ensure continued free access to a vital community space that promotes exercise, supports healthy lifestyles and strengthens social interaction and community ties.
We want to know what you think about the current play area and what is important to you when you visit the play area.
