Update

This consultation closed on 24 June 2022. You can look at the results of the consultation in the documents section on the right hand side of this page

Design work is underway to reintroduce the previous “echelon style” parking layout.

We intend for this to be back in place during the Autumn.

If anyone has any queries, please contact trafficmanagement@coventry.gov.uk

Background

In 2020 Coventry City Council made changes to the parking bays on the Daventry Road

service road. These changes were in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the need for

people to be able to socially distance. The change from diagonal parking to parking along the

kerb allowed us to maximise footway space for pedestrians (as it stopped cars overhanging

the footway).

Previous Layout - Diagonal

Current Layout - Kerbside

The changes reduced the available parking by two spaces, but also meant that improvements

could be made. The dropped kerbs by the pedestrian crossing were improved together with

changes to the existing disabled bays.

Now that COVID restrictions are easing, we want to know which of these two parking options you prefer.

Please complete the short survey below deadline for responses is 24 June 2022
